Assignment

You will need to submit 5 portraits. These portraits should be edited and at least 3 portraits have to include the following treatments: (You can use the editing software of your choice, Pixlr, Snapseed, Photoshop, etc.) Only 2 photos may be self portraiture, 3 must be of other subjects.

Option #1 - 2 Layer Effect Window
1.Create 2 layers of image.
2.Effect top layer in some way (colour, blur, filter effect, motion,
light, etc...)
3.Select section of bottom layer you want to emphasize and erase
top layer in this area.
Option #2 - 3 Layers Portrait (Foreground, Subject, Background)
1.Open photos you want to pull images from. Use camera and /or scanners to capture texture, images, etc...
2.Select portion of images you want to work with.
3.Incorporate together on new canvas using feather edging,
opacity of layers, etc... (Your goal should be to create a
foreground image and a background image to work into your
portrait.
Option #3 - Filter Experiment
1.Go through ALL of the filter effects and try each briefly.
2.Record the filter effects that you liked as you went through them.
3.Create 4 copies of the same portrait and put your favourite 4 filter
effects on them. Place all 4 images onto a canvas in the 4 corners.
Option #4 - Print portraits / parts of a portrait on paper and then print layers on transparency sheets and attach layers together.
Option #5 - Do some media collaging on a paper (font, pasted scraps of paper, texture rubs, writing, etc... and then print your portraits on the paper.

Note: You should take more than 5 photos as you always only want to submit your best work.

Create a blog post containing your photos.
